Our Lanham Bible study meets on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM. Rather than meet in the church or in a home, we meet at Panera Bread, 10531 Martin Luther King Jr. Hwy, Lanham.. Panera Bread is in Vista Gardens Marketplace at the junction of routes 450 and 704. Come and join us.
We are also a partner with the Brazilian SDB Conference in their building of a parsonage for one of their pastors. You can view that information by going to "Ministries" and then clicking on "Brazil Mission."
Besides being a member of the Seventh Day Baptist General Conference, we are a member of the Eastern Association of Seventh Day Baptists, and the National Coalition of Ministries to Men (NCMM). Eastern Association will be held on May 18-20 at the Berlin (NY) SDB Church. In September, we will join with the Washington (DC) SDB Church, the SDB Christian Church (VA) and the Severn (MD) SDB Felllowship for a day of worship and fellowship, hosted this year by the SDB Christian Church.
Central Seventh Day Baptist Church was founded in 1978 as a branch church of the Washington, DC, Seventh Day Baptist Church. We have rented facilities at Hope Presbyterian Church for over 25 years and have enjoyed a rich relationship with that congregation and its pastors. But now the time has come for Central to have its own facility. We have voted to purchase the Jim Chroniger property at 6106 Cipriano Road in Lanham, MD. We had a feasibility study done and have received the report from the geological and environmental study. We have a propopsed floor plan, and a conceptual drawing of the outward appearance of the building. These pictures are in the "Central's Future Home" section of our phoito album. Please take time to view these. We are excited about having our own building and look forward to the new ministries that will open for us. If you would like to know more, please contact our pastor. Central SDB Church is made up of people just like you, seeking to live out their faith in an ever-increasingly complex world. We believe the Bible is valid for today. You are invited to join us on any Sabbath (Saturday) at 10:00 AM for Bible study. We have gifted teachers and classes for all ages. Our 11:15 AM worship service is a rich blend of traditional hymns and contemporary choruses, and the messages are always a "now" word for our lives. You will receive a warm welcome from us, and God's blessing of worshipping on His Holy Sabbath.
